Hebrews 11:1-3 “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”

One of my favorite scenes in a movie is when Indiana Jones is standing on the edge of a massive cliff and must take a step of faith if he wants to reach the other side to save his father. It was not until he was totally committed and stepped out towards the unknown that he realized that there was actually a bridge that had been camouflaged into the scenery. This is a good picture of what it is like to follow God by faith as we step out towards situations that do not make visual sense. It can be very dangerous when we focus on our circumstances instead of the King of Kings whose ways are much better and much higher than what we see in front of us.

Personal Story

Over the years we have been very encouraged by so many people who support Walking On Water and many of these supporters are dads who surf. One perfect example of a “supporter/ surf dad” is Scott Clark. Scott has been involved with Walking On Water over the past thirteen years. Scott’s passions are both spreading the Gospel and the sport of surfing and when asked about why he has supported Walking On Water he said, “Walking On Water combines these two passions and uses the testimony of professional surfers to send the Gospel to surfers all over the world. Being a part of Walking On Water allows my family to participate in spreading the Gospel in a fun way and provides opportunities for my family to help share Christ.”

Last summer on the 4th of July, the Clark family set up a lemonade stand at the beach and passed out Noah’s Arc One4One DVDs along with lemonade. Scott and his family also support Walking On Water by praying for us, promoting our outreach events, volunteering at premieres, and being a financial donor. We want to thank Scott and the rest of the “surf dads” out there who have blessed and encouraged us in so many ways!

2008 Fundraising Campaign …You make it possible!

Since we launched the 2008 Fundraising Campaign on April 18th, 238 spots have been filled. Our goal through this Fundraising Drive is to reach 1,000 supporters who will commit to giving a recurring monthly donation of $25. We need your help today and we are asking for your commitment and financial support. By becoming a monthly supporter for just $25 per month, Walking On Water will be able to continue the world evangelistic tour of our current film Walking On Water, translate our current film into many different languages, and continue the Walking On Water surf camps. If you want to become a monthly supporter please fill out the enclosed card. You may also sign up online at www.walkingonwater.com/donations/. (This process will only take a few minutes.)

Australia and New Zealand Tour Update

Our mission director and his wife have been in Australia for the past three months heading up the Australia tour of our latest film Walking On Water. Here is a recent update from their tour: “As our Australia tour comes to an end we were elated to close the doors on our little white van that has been our home for the past two months. With so many people praying along the way, we were able to complete our East Coast tour of Australia and drop the van off in the same place we picked it up. We couldn’t help but smile knowing this van being over 30 years old made it 6,500 kilometers up and down the Australian coast, showing the Walking On Water film in 20 different locations to over 5,000 people. In a country where God seems dormant, we are thankful that so many lives were touched and forever changed through this film. We are finishing our Australian portion of the tour in Western Australia and will be heading over to New Zealand to complete the Australia/New Zealand tour of Walking On Water.” Please continue to pray for their tour as they travel to Western Australia and New Zealand. If you would like to financially support the Australia/New Zealand Tour please use the enclosed contribution card or make an online donation marked for the Australia/NZ Tour.
