By bowing at Jesus’ feet and publicly declaring his faith in Jesus the synagogue official was risking his reputation, his social status, his religious status, and even his own livelihood. He would likely be excommunicated from the synagogue for such a declaration. But his love for his daughter and his desire for her to live far outweighed anything that might keep him from doing whatever it would take to save her. Faced with this desperate circumstance, the decision was easy. And when he finally surrendered his pride-his worrying about what others would think of him-he not only had a personal encounter with the living God, he was no longer hindering his daughter from being saved. He fell at Jesus’ feet in realization that salvation only comes from Him. Sometimes the Lord will allow us to go through the valley of the shadow of death in order that we might grow closer to Him, and in the process He gives us a personal encounter with our precious Savior. However dire our situation may seem, we can confidently trust that Christ will guide us through it. |

Joel Parker and The Nations Foundation
Shortly after Joel met Bryan Jennings and was welcomed on staff at Walking On Water in 2003 as Director of the Northwest and Outreach Coordinator. In 2006 Joel felt called out of Walking On Water in order to start The Nations Foundation. Joel has been inspired by Walking On Water and as a result his new organization will be reaching the snowboard community in the same way that Walking On Water has been reaching the surf community. The Nations Foundation is a Christian organization committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with this generation’s snowboard community through films and camps. Currently, the Nations Foundation is making the first evangelistic snowboarding film featuring some of the sport’s top professionals. It is an honor to partner with Joel Parker and the Nations Foundation and see the snowboarding community reached for Christ. Joel states, “Not only does the surfing community need to be reached with the Gospel, but also the snowboarding community, skateboarding community, and all other extreme sports communities.” For more information about their film or snowboarding camps visit: www.nationsfoundation.org. Please keep the Nations Foundation in your prayers as they seek to reach and impact the snowboard community with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Please also consider financially supporting the Nation’s Foundation as they begin this incredible ministry. Your tax-deductible donations can be mailed to 6047 Isaac Ave SE #E, Auburn, WA 98092 Surf Camps
Walking On Water West Coast TourThe West Coast Tour is steadily underway as we have hosted four successful premieres in San Diego. On February 21st we held backto- back screenings of the film at the historic La Paloma Theater in Encinitas. It was a packed-out night as the audience enjoyed live music from Tom Curren and his band along with special guest Rob Machado. Bryan Jennings and Mike Doyle shared the gospel after each showing and many people made first time decisions for Christ. The following day we held a premiere at La Jolla High School with a packed out auditorium. It was an awesome night with Tom Curren’s band accompanied once again by Rob Machado. The film was well received and many people made first time decisions for Christ. Please pray for the tour as we make our way up the coast over the next few months. ![]()
