Walking On Water Mission Trips exist to help equip and send surfers where Christ is not known. One of our main emphases is the 10/40 Window. This Window extends from West Africa to East Asia, from 10 degrees north to 40 degrees north of the equator. This region includes 61 countries, two-thirds of the world’s population, 82 percent of the poorest of the poor, and 97 percent of the least-evangelized people groups. Why surfers? Most of the countries represented by the 10/40 Window are hostile to the gospel. Getting into these countries as a missionary is extremely difficult, and dangerous, yet surfers are already frequently traveling to them. Governments may be intrigued by surfers, and are generally not suspicious. Jesus told His followers to go to every nation and make disciples. Christian surfers have a God-given advantage over the average missionary to accomplish this task.
Many of these countries have a surf culture that is rapidly developing each year. Japan, the least evangelized country in the entire world, has an estimated 2 million surfers! There are more surfers in Japan then there are Christians. Who is going to reach them? Parts of the Middle East have thousands of surf-crazed people, and if you asked them who Jesus is, and the purpose He has for their lives, they wouldn’t have the slightest clue. North Africa, South America, Middle East, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Ireland, and France... the list goes on and on. Surfers have the perfect opportunity to take Christ where He is not yet known.

From The Director of Missions
Hey everyone, this is the Director of Missions here at Walking On Water. I lead mission trips to those places in this world which are still unreached with the gospel. I love to see people come to know Jesus, experience the forgiveness of their sins, guilt and shame, and start to live a life filled with joy and purpose.
Please consider getting involved in Walking On Water Missions, by joining me on a trip, or by helping out with finances & prayer, or all three! Jesus took 12 ordinary men and changed the entire world for all of eternity. We are those ordinary men and women.

Important Application Info
Team members are responsible for the costs of their own trips. You may pay for it yourself, or trust God to raise the needed funds (approximately $1,500 – $4,000). For some this is intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. It will be a tremendous faith-building exercise that gives others a chance to invest in what God is doing, and is done all the time by ordinary believers. We will provide you with helpful information regarding support-raising, which will walk you through the process.
