Dream Surf Camps are introduced by Walking On Water. Every young surfer’s dream to be able to surf with one of their heroes of the sport will become a reality this summer 2007 in San Diego and Hawaii.

Walking On Water is a non-profit Christian organization founded by professional surfer and native San Diegan Bryan Jennings in 1995. For the past eleven years, Walking on Water has hosted surf camps and has been an award-winning producer of surf documentaries. Students from all over the world have attended the overnight surf camps. Walking on Water is committed to creating an environment where beginner to advanced students can learn the sport of surfing. Now in its 11th year, Walking On Water has made it possible for students to learn from their favorite top professional surfers.

In summer 2007, Walking On Water launches a new and innovative surf camp model. There will be special guest appearances by three-time world champion Tom Curren, and top professional surfers C.J. & Damien Hobgood. Bethany Hamilton, top amateur surfer, teen shark attack survivor, and recently featured in Walking On Water’s latest surf documentary Heart of a Soul Surfer, will also be a special guest.

Walking On Water Dream Surf Camps are open for male and female students between the ages of 11 – 18. Campers will stay in dorms at UCSD in San Diego and on the North Shore in Oahu. Dream Surf Camps will take place in San Diego July 22nd – 27th for ages 11 – 14, July 29th – August 3rd for ages 14 – 18, and in Hawaii December 15th – 22nd for ages 14 – 18.
