Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.     Ephesians 3:20

Raised in: Granite Bay, California

I was raised in northern California just an hour south of Lake Tahoe. Having two older brothers I was introduced to extreme sports at a young age, mainly snowboarding. It wasn’t until I moved to San Diego that I started surfing. Growing up three hours from the beach I never was drawn to the ocean, but once I stepped into the warm waters of southern California I was hooked. I moved to San Diego in the fall of 2003 to study at San Diego State University. In December of 2005 I graduated with a Bachelors in Communication and a minor in Religious Studies.

At the age of 16 I gave my life to Christ, after realizing that God was my Father and He knew my name. And that my Father in heaven gave His Son for me, I knew that a life with Christ is the only way to truly live.

Aloha!

Over the holiday break I vacationed in Hawaii on the island of Maui. It was a much needed vacation after a hectic holiday season and busy fall. I rested, surfed Honolua Bay among other spots and enjoyed the slow pace of the island. Maui has some of the most amazing waterfalls and black sand beaches that I have ever seen. I camped out in Hana, hiked all over the island, and enjoyed fellowship with some close friends. It was a blessed trip!

While in Hawaii my heart grew for the people there. It is a transient place with many people moving in, living for a short time and moving on. Each person has a life story that is so diverse and everyone is searching for something. And as beautiful and amazing as Maui is, no waterfall or wave can fulfill a person in their soul. My heart and prayers go out for them. My prayer is that their searching would lead them to the heart of the Father. My prayer is for the churches to rise up and embrace the people.

Now that I am home I am getting back into the swing of Southern California life. At work we are gearing up for summer camps and the west coast tour of the new film. Hopefully I will be seeing you all at a showing of the new film!

With much love and aloha,
Cindy
