About Walking On Water

Mission Statement
Walking On Water seeks to reach and impact our generation's global surf community with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Walking On Water is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Professional surfer Bryan Jennings started Walking on Water in 1995 with the vision to use his surfing abilities to share his faith with young people. His idea was to hold an overnight surf camp for junior high and high school students where he would not only teach students how to surf, but also focus on sharing his Christian faith. What started as a small surf camp of ten students has now grown into a worldwide ministry reaching thousands of people through surf camps and surf films.
Walking On Water is a unique organization that fills a need within the surfing community. We have seen the positive effects the camps and surf films have had within the surfing community, and have expanded our ministry in order to reach a wide audience through the sport of surfing. People young and old, male or female, surfer or non-surfer, have come to appreciate and connect with the life saving message of Jesus Christ conveyed through our films. Speaking engagements at various public and private schools, church youth groups, and local youth events are other ways Walking on Water positively impacts the lives of young people. Walking On Water is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on the financial support of individuals, churches, and foundations.
Walking On Water has greatly expanded its scope with the production of surf films. We have produced four videos that not only feature world class professional surfers, but also present the Gospel message of Jesus Christ in a powerful and relevant way. Walking On Water tours with the surf films, renting theaters, bars, school auditoriums, and other venues to premiere the films and present the gospel. We partner with local churches, Christian Surfers chapters and other para-church organizations, as well as motivated individuals to hold the premieres, which are held free of charge. Over the past few years, literally thousands of people have made decisions for Jesus Christ through the films and premieres.

Ministry Activities
Walking On Water Surf Camps remain an integral part of our ministry. With an average of over 200 campers attending the camps each summer, Walking on Water is committed to creating an environment where students between the ages of 11-18 can learn the sport of surfing in a Christian environment.Walking On Water has greatly expanded its scope with the production of surf films.
